TOXIC Chair maquette 2009 (Curious Projects) copy

TOXIC Chair maquette 2009
copper tubing, mdf, photocopy, wooden beads, paint
31 x 26 x 9 cms

Selected for display by Alex Valy of Curious Projects, Eastbourne
for the Thinking/Making exhibition. The show features a total of 27
maquettes by makers.

“Rather than finished work, this exhibition shows three-dimensional

‘sketches’, models and maquettes, made as part of the artists’
thinking process- either a kind of ‘making’ used purely as
a thinking
tool and/or as an aid to making actual work.”

Thinking Making display

Display of part of Thinking/Making at Curious Projects

This work is the first piece I made when I commenced the TOXIC
project. Intention was (& still is) to make a sitting-human-size
version in steel and wood.

Thinking/Making continues at Curious Projects until Friday 5th
February 2016 at The Labyrinth, 7 Mark Lane, Eastbourne BN21 4RJ.
